Overview
The goal was to design a responsive recipe web app that addresses the limitations of existing apps while meeting user needs. I identified a gap in the market for parents who want to cook with their children, providing easy-to-follow step-by-step recipes—written or animated—with filter options for different dietary needs and a rewarding system to encourage family cooking.

The Challenge
The challenge was to create a recipe app that makes it easy for parents to find child-friendly meals suited to their needs. By offering both written and video instructions, the app needed to provide a user-friendly experience that encourages children to actively participate in cooking, making the process fun and engaging for the whole family.
The Solution
I followed the Design Thinking process to bring the recipe app to life. Starting with research and analysis, I conducted competitive audits and created mood boards to define the visual direction. I then developed user flows and wireframes to map the user journey, before moving on to high-fidelity prototypes and usability testing to refine interactions. Finally, I delivered polished visual designs and mockups, ensuring the app was intuitive, engaging, and ready for responsive use across devices.
The Result
The final recipe app provides a seamless, engaging experience for parents and children alike. Users can easily find and filter child-friendly recipes, follow step-by-step instructions in written or video format, and enjoy a rewarding cooking experience together. The app successfully encourages family participation, making cooking both fun and accessible while meeting the needs of its target audience.
